Michael Easton Biography
Michael Easton was born in Long Beach, California on February 15, 1967. The eldest son of Joan and Stewart Easton, he grew up in both the United States and Ireland with his younger brother Keith.
As a young adult, Michael studied History and English at the University of California in Los Angeles, California as well as film at New York University.
Micheal then spent several years traveling through Europe and working his way through various odd jobs before landing the role of Tanner Schofield on "Days of Our Lives" in 1991. 1991 was also the year that Michael was on People Magazine's “50 Most Beautiful People" list.
In 1992, he left "Days of Our Lives" and appeared in several tv movies before heading home in 1993 to care for his mother. Michael lost his mother a year later and he chronicled this tragic time in his acclaimed book of poetry titled “Eighteen Straight Whiskeys.” (published in 1995)
Michael returned to his acting career in 1995, as he joined the television series "VR.5" cast as Ducan.
In 1996 he headed over to a series called "Two" as twin brothers. This same year, he also was cast in the series "413 Hope St." followed by a short role on Ally McBeal as the infamous "nude model" Glen. (the role carried him over briefly to "The Practice")
In 1998 Michael recieved a "Best Actor in a Drama Series: Gemini Award" nomination for his role as David Hume in the showtime series, "Total Recall 2070,” He also appeared this year in the ABC mini series, “The 70's.”
In 2001, Michael returned to daytime television in the General Hospital spin-off, "Port Charles." His dual roles as vampire Caleb Morley and Father Michael Morley made him a household name. After the show ended, ABC keep their hands on this rising star and shipped him off to Llanview as John McBain on the long running series “One Life to Live.”
Michael's resume also includes several writing projects. He has written a feature length screenplay based on the life of Montgomery Clift as well as one based on the life of jazz legend, Ella Fitzgerald. He also wrote, directed, and edited the award-winning short film “Daedalus is Dead.” (In 2000, the film was sold to the Sundance channel.)
Currently, Michael continues to portray John McBain on "One Life To Live" as well as getting ready for the summer 2008 release of his first graphic novel, “Soul Stealer.” He also has an upcoming project where he will write the first installment of “The Tales from the Green Woman” series with novelist Peter Straub.
